This work is a review of publications about Superconductive Magnetic Energy Storage systems of solenoid geometry published in 2017. The research methodology for keywords on the CAPES platform led to five articles for review. Tendencies in increasing the system’s storage capacity and reducing superconducting tape use in manufacture were identified. Both lead to the system’s cost reduction and an increase in it's economic viability
