Determination of wall inclination limit as function of the wall thickness and plasticity for 3D printed extrudable ceramic bodies

The inclination of the walls is limited by the thickness and number of layers as well as the plasticity of the ceramic bodies, among other parameter. Using a 3D Printer for extrudable ceramic bodies developed by DuraCer taking as a base the structure of a FDM 3D printer for plastic, were printed a series of conic ceramic pieces of an earth ware bodies, fixing the nozzle diameter and printing speed and varying the wall inclination angle, wall thickness (number of layers) and consistence of the bodies (water content). The inclination that the wall collapses were determined in function of the number of layers and the consistence of the bodies. In this way the first step was done for the creation of an algorithm for extrudable ceramics bodies, in analog form that exist for 3D printing different plastic bodies
