The best way to arrive in Foz do Iguaçu is by plane since Foz do Iguaçu has its airport, the Foz do Iguaçu International Airport.
The airport is located at BR 469 - km16.5 - Rodovia das Cataratas. The distance to the city center is 13km, 12km to the Iguaçu Falls, 10km to the Tancredo Neves Bridge (Argentina), 20 km to the Amizade Bridge (Paraguay) and 30km to the Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant.
Transfer from Foz do Iguaçu Airport to the city center There are several options for the transfer to the center. Taxis charge around R$50.00 (fifty reals). Another option is to take a bus (R$2,90).
The bus from the airport to the city center is number 120, which passes through the main avenues, such as Avenida das Cataratas, Juscelino Kubistcheck, and Jorge Schimmelpfeng and in front of or near several hotels.

It is not allowed to take rental cars to Paraguay. You should leave it in the parking lot on the Brazilian side and cross by foot or by motorcycle.
Flying To Foz
For foreign travelers, the most convenient option is to make a stop at Guarulhos airport in São Paulo, the largest and busiest in the country.
The flight duration to Foz to Iguaçu is about 1 hour and 45 minutes. FOZ is well served by flights by the companies Avianca, Azul, Gol and Latam.
Another feasible option is the airport of Rio de Janeiro, whose flight duration to Foz is slightly longer, 2 hours and 15 minutes. It is also possible to arrive via the airport of Puerto Iguazu in Argentina and the airport of Ciudad Del Este in Paraguay. However, the flights are limited.
